Why budgeting style matters
Most budgeting advice assumes everyone approaches money the same way. They do not. A Planner and an Intuitive Spender both need to save, but the system that works best for each is completely different. Telling an Intuitive Spender to track every transaction in a spreadsheet is likely to produce two weeks of compliance followed by abandonment. Telling a Planner to just wing it will make them anxious.
Understanding your default style helps you choose systems and habits that actually fit how you think, rather than fighting against your own nature. The goal is not to become a different type of person. It is to use the strengths of your style while being aware of its specific risks.
